SPEAKER_04:Thank you for joining us today. I know that God is going to do great things. We're getting ready to give them up on something great at our church. I'm excited about it. I'm excited to see what God's going to do. I know he's got some great things in store for us. Sorry that I have been out of commission for a while. My last episode was posted back in July. I am so sorry. This is so much going on. My wife had surgery with her back, and she's been out of commission since then. And so I've been having to take on all the chores around the house and take care of all of our little four-legged friends we have around here. And so uh glad to be here. It's been a long time, but I know God has been doing great things in your life, and He's been in control, and you're just doing a great thing for God, amen. But we're going to take a little break from our book series this episode. I preached a message just here the other week at a friend's live stream, and you might have seen it on the uh our YouTube page. But it's entitled Answering the Call of God. And I think more than ever before, there's been so many people that have set back and they said, God, I just can't do what you want me to do. I need to uh let someone else do it. But I want you to know that there's a call on your life, and he just wasn't by mistake, it wasn't anything that you had to do. The calls on your life was when you were born, actually was before you were born. He told Jeremiah that I knew you when you was in the womb. He had a plan for him then, and he has the same plan for you. So there is a call upon your life, but you know, there's some things we've got to do to step up to that. And in this message, talk about there's six steps that we must take that I think is vital and important for us to do in order to know that we're answering the call correctly, not just doing it on our own. Because if we are doing it on our own, then you know we're gonna mess up. So sit back and listen, take notes, write these six steps down because I believe that'll be helpful for you. And I hope you enjoy this message about answering the call. No, not today, guys. Not today, devil. You're not gonna win today. I'm so glad that my God is an powerful God. Alright, get ready, guys. Get ready to start this message. Listen, if you don't follow me, follow me on Facebook at the Christian Cafe. Also, we got a new web page just popped up. I'll leave that at the end and I'll tell you where that's at. And also our podcast, you can follow us anywhere you want to, okay? Sit back and enjoy.
SPEAKER_06:Love the opportunity to be able to see God's word because the word is what gives us free. It's what gets us to the day. We talked about earlier about not having a bad day. Well, if I'm having a bad day, it's called my day off. Right. Guess what to do start off with prayer of the word. Come up with saying that's been following me for I guess for the last week or so. That God has a place. I don't know about you, but I find myself sometimes getting away from that. I find myself not concentrating on people, not you know, paying attention to what he's laying in front of us. Uh we hear a lot about this morning, especially in the in our service at our church this morning. We heard about you know, God put people in front of us. What do we do? Do we spend time with them or we just give them what they ask for more stuff? Uh I want to be better than that. I want to spend time with them. Tonight, you know, God puts something in your in your path, it's a reason for it. It was not by accident, it was intentional. Man, it's intentional. As I told uh Scott and Sister Kayla earlier this morning at the service a few weeks ago, I was going down the road and I was just meditating on God, and the scripture popped in my popped in my head. I get it out the minute, I get my eye before my team working. Um and I was just praying, meditating God, and this scripture popped in my head, and and I began to study it. Matter of fact, I was going down the road, just man, I've got to pull over there, I've got to get some thoughts in my head because it's just covered just like that. And so I pulled aside over the board of scripture and just God and speak to me. And in the back of my mind was like, God, I'm not preaching the time studying, so what's is this just for me? And yes, it is for me, but I think it's for everybody else also. And it's beginning to study, and then then it was like two weeks later when you asked me if I would speak. And as soon as you asked me, the Holy Spirit just nudged me. He's just told you. And and so I began to study it out. I told Cal earlier that I was looking over this afternoon, you know, going through it, make sure I had it in my head, and then I just kept more and more and more. And I am not gonna go through all of it because I do not have time. We deal with me here at midnight, and uh I know everybody out there can like to get offended sometimes, but you could just cut me off. But don't do that, promise you. I've got something that God is gonna share with us tonight that I think that will empower us and will direct us in where we need to go in here. And the entitlement message, if I had a title for it, I would have to say it was called Answering the Call of God. And if you've got your Bibles and you'd like to turn with me and follow along by scriptures, Exodus 3, verses 1 through 4. That is my scripture text, and I'm taking it from the King James Version. He said, What? Well, you know, I still like the King James Version, but I like others too. I was just in a conversation with someone this week about you know, King James Version is it? Well, it's it's the great version. Uh it's why I also believe that God gives other translations to help us understand things greater. But this scripture here, I love the way the King James puts it. And let us let's begin reading. It says, now Moses kept the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest immediate, and he led the flock to the backside of the desert and came to the mountain of God, even to Woram. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. And he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside. Now I want you to pay attention to those words right there. Put them in the back of your head, put them on a notepad or whatever, just hold on to them, cast them out there in the sea for a little bit, but get ready to go back in, go to the back as well. Okay. He says, I will now turn aside and see this great sight why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I, Father in heaven. I love you to see that. God, I thank you, God, for the presence I've already felt here this morning, this evening. God, I pray that same presence, Father, go out upon the live stream, God, and touch someone's heart tonight. Father Lord, help us to understand your word. Help us just to take it and digest it, Father, that we might use it for later, that we might sow seeds for harvest in the future. God, I love you. I praise you in Jesus' name. Amen. When you first read the book of Exodus in the first chapter, it looks like nothing more than just a list of names. But let me remind you, God never wasted. Everything that was in his word, there was a purpose there for it. If you go through uh a lot of like Leviticus, the journal you'll see such and such beget, such and such beget. And I'm always saying, What in the world is that for? But here, and we see this same thing in Exodus, but every name matters because every name represents a call. Yes, every name represents a call. If you remember in that chapter one, it says Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah. Those names, they weren't just random. Let me just add that. Your name, David, is just not random. There's a purpose, there's a purpose for each and every one of us, and he calls us by name. They were the foundation of the tribes. If you remember you talked, we talked about it in Numbers 3, and it was so funny when you start reading out. Well, hold on now. Uh but you know, there were names of tribes, they carried a covenant. They carried the covenant, they were the fruit of Abraham's yes to God's go. Amen. Let me say that again. They were the fruit of Adam's Abraham's yes to God's call. Yes, just like them, your name matters to God. Amen. Because if you remember, each tribe had chosen a leader, right? Each tribe. Now I'm trying to stay in front of this camera here. I'm doing my very best. But it's just hard. I don't know if you feel that area, but the spirit of God is so big standing right here. I just I'm just having a hard time standing still. But they were their name matter for a reason. You were not born by accident. You are not in this season that you're in by chance. Let me say that again. You're not in this season by chance. I don't care what season you're going through, seasons change. It's like fall, winter, spring, summer, they all change. And if you remember fall, I love fall. It's nice, it's cool. I don't sweat a lot, right? Then comes winter, we freeze. I mean, that's the worst worst season in the world. Then you got spring. Flowers bloom in summer, it gets hot. But for every season that we're in, there is a bad time, and there's a good time. Sometimes all of our seasons are not always good. It'll be half and half. But in these seasons, there's still a purpose that you have to do, and God's called you for that purpose in your season. So whatever season you're in, it's not by chance. You are called, right? Yes. You are called. And the call of God comes with steps. It's not automatic, it's progressive. It grows as you grow. The call of God is not random. God's call is random. It's intentional. It's personal. And it's progressive. Moses was in the wilderness. He wasn't on the platform. So many people think that I've got to be called to be a great evangelist, a great singer, a great pianist, a great guitar player, whatever. I've got to be seen. I know several people in the Bible. Nobody's singing, but God called him. David. Samuel. Moses, we're talking about tonight. He was not on that. He wasn't looking for a call. Was he? If you knew anything about Moses, you know, but Moses kind of stuttered. He had a speech again. Wasn't well progressed. Couldn't speak very well. So you think anybody like that would be looking for a call? I'd be saying back in a corner somewhere, Jesus. I don't want to be seen. I don't want to be heard. So he wasn't looking for a call. The call came looking for him. There's a call looking for you tonight. If you're on the sound of my voice and you're wondering about your call, God's calling you. All you gotta do is pick up the phone. That's right. Yes. Just pick up the phone off. Don't hesitate. Don't let it pass you by. I don't care if you've been in church all your life, been sermon of God for 50 years. God's still calling you. And if you're on the sound of my voice tonight and you don't know God, and you don't know him, God's calling you. He's saying without stretched hands, come. Come. I'm here for you. That's how God works. He finds us in ordinary places. He interrupts our routine. Do you like it when God interrupts your routine? I don't want to. I'll be honest with you. I don't like it when you don't routine. I've got my thing. I've got to set myself. How I'm gonna do things, you know, and you want me to go this way? Now you want me to go. No, God, I can't do that. I got a pattern, I got, you know, it's I've got it in my head. But God does things out of the ordinary. And if you want to interrupt the routine, He calls us for what? Struggle with that. I struggle with that. I've got a purpose. I don't think I was like this. You might not you might agree with my history, you might be mad at any wild care. It really doesn't matter. It's the way I feel. Yeah. If your purpose is more toward God's purpose, come on. Don't ask me. I can give you stories. Just show that if you're doing things for yourself, to build yourself up and not follow God's call and his purpose, and it's not doing the word of God. You may be successful at times. The call of God begins with identity. Begins with identity. Just as he called them by name, he called you by name. In Isaiah 43, verse 1, it says, Fear not, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name. You are mine. Amen. I love that. Can we say I am his? I am his. Yes, amen. I am his. You are not defined by your past. I'm so thankful by that. Yes. I'm so thankful. I'm not defined by my past.
SPEAKER_08:Amen.
SPEAKER_06:You are not labeled by your failures. We can go on that all that long. You are a child of the man. Think about Moses. He thought he was an Egyptian. Then he discovered he was a Hebrew. Then he became a ruler of the shepherd. Sounds confusing. He didn't know his identity. It delayed the confusion he had about his identity. It delayed God's holy life. It delayed him until God spoke to him in a burning bush in a sense, I am. Now that was just foundation. Okay. I'll get into the message. All right, all right. I'm going to give you, and I'm going to try to go to these quickly as I can. May not get to it, but I will tell you before I finish these. I'm going to give you six steps of how to answer the call of God. Six steps, I believe, is most important when it comes to call a following call of God. Amen. Step one. Don't have anything to write it down if you want to send these precious people a message. But step one. God calls workers, not dreamers. God calls workers, not dreamers. What was Moses doing when God called him? He said it in the very first verse. He said he was sending sheep. Did he not? He was sending sheep. God often calls us while we're faithful in the small things. I remember another person that tended sheep that God called. Being a sheep burner was not a very popular thing, was it? It was probably one of the most least things that someone could do. But like I said, God calls us out of the ordinary. When we're doing small things, God looks at that. It's not so much the big things that we're doing. I used to be big on big things. Right? I always think God wanted to see the big things sacrifice. But it's the small things that God looks at. In Luke 16, verse 10, he says, He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much. So if we're faithful in the small things, God can make his ruler over me, right? Look at Moses. Moses was that person. He was out there teening shit. He saw the faithfulness of Moses. He saw what he was doing, and he said, I can use him. Because he's willing to do whatever he needed to do to survive. Like I said. If we talk, if we remember about David, when Jacob came to uh Jacob uh when David was in the field and came to be anointed his king, what was he doing? He was minding his business. He wasn't worried about being a big thing. He was out doing what he needed. He was looking after the flock. He was looking after the things that kept his family with food. Right? Just an ordinary thing. He wasn't a prince. He wasn't a priest. He wasn't even a king. Look at Joseph. Joseph went from the pit to the house. Why? Because he should be an ordinary man. Wasn't nobody special. But God calls in the ordinary. Amen.
SPEAKER_08:Amen.
SPEAKER_06:Don't despise ordinary seasons. Don't despise what you're going through right now. Amen. They prepare you for extraordinary stylings.
SPEAKER_03:Yes.
SPEAKER_06:So whatever you're going through, God's prepared you for. He's preparing you right now in whatever you're going through. You may think that this is the hardest part of your life. You may think that God is against you, and the devil is just beating you up. Let me tell you this. God knows what you're at. He knows what you're facing. He knows what you're going through. And he's already dispatched an angel where you're at, and he's already taken care of the situation. All you gotta do is trust him. Be faithful in the little things. And I'll make you the Lord's over meeting. The call comes with a divine encounter. Step number two, write it down. Pursue his presence. Your encounter with him activates your call. Say that again. Pursue his presence. Your encounter activates your call. Don't pursue the gifts. Pursue his presence. Once we get in his presence, oh hallelujah, I'm good on the Holy Ghost. Once we get into his presence, then everything else works as it needs to. The gift of God comes through the Holy Spirit. The burning bush was God's way of getting Moses' attention. Every calling begins with an encounter with God. An angry encounter. The call does not come before the encounter.
SPEAKER_07:That's good.
SPEAKER_06:The call does not come before the encounter. Acts 9, verses 3 through 6 says, As he was approaching Damascus on the mission on his mission, a light from heaven suddenly shone down around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? Who are you, Lord? Saul asked. And the voice replied, I am Jesus, the one who you are persecuting. Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do. It was not that God told Saul first, going into to do what you gotta do. He had to get Saul's attention. He says, Who are your Lord? And if you notice in his text, Lord is not capitalized. So he was not his Lord yet. It was not until he encountered God that he became his Lord. Oh, hallelujah! After he encountered God, then God became his Lord. Then he was open up to what God was telling him to do. And he said, Go right again into the city, and you will be told what to must do. Go ahead and read the rest of me. See what God does. Amen. In Isaiah 628, Isaiah's vision in the temple prompted him to say, Here I am, Lord, send me. When God asked who he was, when God asked who is going to send as a messenger, I say spoke up and says, You're Lord. Send me. He had an encounter with God. He recognized who he was. An encounter with God was birth of calling. Amen. Amen. I I'm so glad that God birthed something in me. I'm so glad that when he called, I answered. I didn't step to the side and say, No, Lord, was I nervous or was I scared? Yes, because my family, my dad has been a minister all my life. Life that I think. My brother was called to preach. Preaching for uh quite a few years. I'm the elements. And when God called me to preach, I said, God, sure. That's life. I said, that's a preacher. My brother's preacher. I don't want to be. Everybody say, well, you know, you're only a preacher because you did a good preacher, and blah blah blah. That's what people were saying. God told me, He said, Don't worry about what they said. That's what I said. Thus said the Lord. So he called me into the ministry. Has it always been good? Have I had good seasons? No. Not all the time. There's been some brothers. There's still some brothers. But I'm so thankful that as long as I follow the voice of God, you'll do what he said he would do. Amen. Amen. He's birthed something in you. He's birthed something in you to do without the answer to God. The call requires a response.
unknown:Amen.
SPEAKER_06:Amen. Step number three. Turn aside. Make face or room, whichever you like, to hear God's voice. Turn aside. Make space to hear God's voice. In verse three of that of the scripture text I read tonight, Moses said, I will now turn aside and see. So picture this. You're walking in the wilderness, and all of a sudden you see a burning bush. It's on fire. It's burning, but it's not being consumed. And in one translation, I think it's the uh NLT View Liver Translation, it says, He says, That's amazing. I've got to see what's going on. And it's not like, you know, he was just he was just walking around and it was in front of him. Okay? Because if it was, there was something that he had to do. But when he saw the bush, it was like maybe to his left or to the right. I don't know what that's saying. But the Bible says that he turned aside. He made a response. Now he could have kept going and say, that's amazing right there. You know, I mean, I'm sure you never been driving down the road someplace or or something, you see something, you say, Wow, look at that. But we just keep on going, right? They're not important. But the Bible says that Moses turned aside. He made a move to the direction of the burning bush. And then the Bible says that God spoke through the bush. God didn't speak until Moses turned aside. Amen. So if you want God to draw near to you, what you gotta do? You gotta turn aside. You gotta make an effort. You gotta give God a response. Yes, yes, God's a binder, but God will not force you to do anything that you don't want to do. Right. He'll lay it out there for you, and he'll show you what you need to do, and he'll lay it there just prove your pleas. But if you don't actually make a response to do something, Moses could have just kept going.
SPEAKER_08:Yeah.
SPEAKER_06:And think about this. If Moses had to keep going, what do you think happened with the children of Israel? Yes, don't want us to come along. God always got back up. Moses would miss that a whole lot of it. Calling requires attention, it requires willingness, and it requires. Don't get mad, don't get upset. But nobody likes his word whatsoever. But it calls, it requires us to surrender. Yes. I know, I know, I know. It's hard to surrender my will. It's hard, it's hard for me to surrender everything that I want, everything I I've got, or or my will, or what I think should happen. But it requires full attention. It requires us to be willing to do that. It requires us to totally surrender to the plan of God. Amen. Amen. If we were to surrender to God, God can use us. Amen. Amen. But if we are constantly fighting God, if we're constantly telling God, I can't do this, now if you remember the story of Moses, if you read it, keep reading down in that chapter, you'll find out that Moses said, I can't do this. But every time that Moses came over excuse, God had an answer. He even told, he said, Well, I'll send Aaron with you. I'm paraphrasing you guys, okay? It's a little different in the scripture, but this is what it means. So every time we offer excuse and we don't surrender, God can make us think about Kingdom. He can make us think about it, but we gotta be willing to do it. We got we got to pay attention to what God wants us to do. We have to. If we're constantly praying, God, I want more of you. God, I want to make room for in my life, everything you want me to do. But we never ever make a move toward what we're praying, then it's just about words, it's not from the heart, it's good, and God sees the heart. You can talk all day long, but God, all you want to, but He knows what's in the heart. Yes, we can stand up in front of crowd people. I'm doing this for the church, I'm doing that. I'm I'm so involved in my local church. But are you doing it to be seen or are you doing it from the heart, a service heart? Amen. God knows, right? God knows. You may you may think you're you're hiding it from everybody, you may be hiding it from your friends and family, everybody else, but you're not hiding from God. God knows your heart. He knows if you're fully surrendered to Him, He knows if you're giving it full attention, He knows that if you're willing to do what He's called you to do. Do we get tired of let me rephrase that? Do we get burnt out in our heart? It's a good question. I I think we do sometimes. I think we get to the place that you know we're doing so much for God that we forget that we need time to rejuvenate and get the word from God, right? And we get burnt out. I can tell you, I've been burnt out a lot of times, and I and those times when I got burnt out, I realized that my spirit self was not how do I put this? It was not the right, and I had to step back and I had to get some word, I had to get into services where I didn't do anything, but just feast on the word God and His presence, and and I'm so thankful of that now that I have an opportunity that I can regulate what I'm doing at church and be in a service where I can get rejuvenated. Try not to get myself burnt out. We all don't do it. Don't don't say you don't because you if you work at any any job in a church, you're gonna get burnt out if you're not letting yourself get filled up from God. Amen. The call is personal. Step forward. We might get through this. Recognize the call as personal, it's for you, not just for leaders or preachers. Say that again. Recognize the call as personal, in other words, it's for you.
SPEAKER_08:Amen.
SPEAKER_06:You don't have to be a preacher, you don't have to be a leader. You are a child of God, amen. So when God calls you, he's called you into your purse. Amen. God called Moses. It's verse four that scripture we said. God called Moses. Moses. God doesn't call you by your title. Oh, I've got to say that God doesn't call you by your title. I don't care if you hold hold a doctrine in theology. I don't care if you're a pastor or you're a great evangelist anything. God does not know you by that. That's a good word. God knows you by your name. Amen. He's put you put a name on you. He knows the gifts that you have, but he does not notice you by it. True calling is not measured by title, but by fruit. I'm gonna say that again. True calling is not measured by title, but by fruit. Yes. John 15, verse 16 says, I choose you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain. Nowhere in that verse, I chose the pastor, or I chose the evangelists, I chose the prophet or the apostle. He says, I chose you. I chose you, Cala. Think about this. God calls your name. I called you God. God, God, and he'll keep calling to you guys.
SPEAKER_08:Yes, yes, he will.
SPEAKER_06:Remember Samuel. Young Samuel. He was asleep. Heard a voice, Samuel Samuel. He gets up and he runs to Eli. Eli said, I didn't call you gonna lay back down. Samuel goes lay back down. Samuel, Samuel. This is a runs Eli G. A third time. Eli says, next time you get called the Lord. Next time he knew his lay down. He says, Samuel, Samuel. Samuel the words, here I am, Lord. He had a response. He made a response. He recognized that his call was personal. He recognized that it was not because who he was, because Samuel was not nobody important, right? God don't look at your past. He don't look at where you came from. He don't care where you came from. Thank you, Jesus. It doesn't matter to him. Jeremiah says, I think it was Jeremiah. Yeah, Jeremiah 1 and 5. He says, For I before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. I knew what you I had you gonna do before you was born. That's what he told Jeremiah. So don't you think he meant the same thing for us? That's right. He knew us before we was born. He knew how much we might might mess up in life. He knew how much we were stray away from the truth that was given. He knew that sometimes we might be more rebellious. I think none of us think you're being rebellious. I don't know if I told your story before, but my mom, I found this out before she died, that she used to pray that God will save me and kill me. I have my own agenda. Do my own thing, I went, I do what I do. You see, God calls you. God puts a call in your life, it doesn't go away.
unknown:That's right.
SPEAKER_06:So you might say that God has called you from the wound, right? Because that's what he did to ride. He calls Jeremiah from the wound. God knows your name. He knows your past. He knows your failures. And guess what? He still called me.
SPEAKER_07:He's still calling me.
SPEAKER_06:I'm nobody by a child of God in his eyes. And if he's willing to take someone like me and use me in his word, in his kingdom, God help me. That I can follow the path that he's let me on. If you're out there this even and God has called you to and you're telling yourself you're not able, remember, Moses said he was not able. But Moses had an error. I don't know who your errand is tonight, but God's gonna tell you to step out of faith. God's gonna feel it, God's gonna use you wherever you go, whatever you face tomorrow. You're gonna see a change. Oh, hallelujah. You're gonna see a change in what's God doing in your life tomorrow. Grab my words. Don't don't take my word, but take God's word. That's what the word says. He says, I formed you in the word. I knew you. I knew what I had plans for you.
SPEAKER_08:Yes.
SPEAKER_06:Oh, hallelujah. Oh, Yamaha. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Recognize the cause personal. It is for you. It's not for nobody else. We can't do everything everybody else does. I'm not a very good speaker. My English is not very good. But I don't let that stop me. I'm not elegant in the words or anything like that. But I know what God's called me to do. When we realize what God's called us to do, when we realize that the call that God's put on our life is personally for us to do, don't let the devil or no one else's family or anybody else tell you you can't do that.
SPEAKER_07:Yes.
SPEAKER_06:If you know that you have a divine encounter with God, you know that you were on the road to Damascus, and God spoke to you and told you this is what you have to do. You do it and you do it to all your might.
unknown:Amen.
SPEAKER_06:Don't let nobody tell you you can't do it. It's your cause. You don't have to be a priest. Someone well known. Amen. I'm so thankful for that. Step number five. We're gonna get through this. Say, here I am. Answer the call with surrender. Here I am. Answer the call with surrender. God called Moses. What did he say? Here I am. Here I am, Lord. That is the language of surrender and availability. Amen. When we say here we are, God we're saying, Lord, take me as I am, use me. I have availability. Romans 12:1 says, present your body a living sacrifice. God didn't call Moses barefoot to humiliate to humiliate him. Amen.
unknown:Amen.
SPEAKER_06:He called him to remind him. If you read it, keep reading down. When Moses turned toward the books, God stopped him and called him, don't come no closer. He's just taking sheep sandals off your holy ground. It was not to humiliate him, but it was to remind him that he was in the presence of an Almighty God. And that he needed to reverse that. This call isn't about your shoes or your strength or your path or your status. Amen. It's about walking in his presence. It's all about walking in God's presence because we cannot do anything outside the presence of God. That's right. It is impossible to do the call if we're outside of his presence. Yes. Who's going to find our battles if we're out of his presence? We've got to be in his presence. In his presence, there's power, there's liberty, there's freedom. I don't want to work outside his presence. I want to be in his presence. Every time I wake up in the morning, every time I go to bed at the morning, I cannot do things that don't have his friend. I just don't have it. Is there times that we struggle with that? Yes. Because the enemy is trying always trying to mess with our mind. That's the only thing bothers us in our mind. He needs to start speaking to us and tell us things that you just don't do. No good. But then we got to speak the word. This is my call. Yes. I surrendered everything I've got to God. He said he'd walk with me if I just sacrifice myself. If I walk in his presence, then I'm taking care of. He told Moses the same thing. He says, You walk in my presence. Cloud by night, hour by day. Right? I'll lead you, I'll guide you, I'll take you wherever you need to go. All you need to do is follow. My plan for you is simple. Follow me. Step number six. We have been called out of the ordinary. We have encountered God. We get a response to God, and we realize that it's personal. And we have surrendered to the call. Step number six. The call is to go and not sit still. Amen. I could stay right here for the next hour and a half. But I won't do that. The call sends you out. Right? Later in Exodus 3, verse 10, God tells Moses, Come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh. The call is never just about you. Let me say it again. The call is never, never just about you. The call is about us. Tomorrow. Right? What are you going to do about the call tomorrow? When that person sets in front of you, the God's place in front of you. Are you just going to give them what the world particular design? Are you going to spend time with them? Pray with them. Jesus loves thee. This is the mission. Matthew 28, 19 to 28. And we talk about this verse a lot in our community remotection class of church when we start talking about discipleship. Go ye therefore. And teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even until the end of the world. See, it's all right there in that verse. They call that the Great Commission. He said that he would go with us always, not sometimes, right? He said, always, wherever you went, even to the end of the world. But you gotta go first, right? That's right. Moses could have stood still. Moses could have stayed right there at that burner bush and never done another thing. And not fulfilled the call of his life. But we are empowered to be witnesses according to Acts 1 and 8. But ye shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me, both in Jerusalem and to all Judea and in Samaria and to all the othermost parts of earth. We have the power. How many of us have told us, God, I can't do that? God, I just don't have the ability. I don't, I just don't have that power. We've said it hundreds of times. But if we have been bought of the Christ, been born again, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit visits us, we have that power. If you remember when the the apostles were in the upper room, Terry and William God. If you remember, they never performed no miracles whatsoever before the death of Christ. They never preached the word, they never did anything until the empowerment of the Holy Spirit dwelt inside of them. And after that, they came out and preached the first thing they did was preach the word of God under boldness because of the powers of the Holy Spirit. And what happened? 3,000 people were added in the body of Christ. So you do have the power because they were afraid. If you remember in the Bible, the scriptures say that they went and locked themselves in a room. They were scared to death because the person they were following had just been crucified, and they were afraid they were being missed. But the calls of the Holy Spirit, they recognized they had the power of God in their lives, and they went to fulfill the mission that Jesus Himself had told him to do when he was in this earth. The call is always outward focused. Delivering, serving, building, and reaching. When we say the call is always outward focused, it means that God calls on our lives. Or even just enjoying personal blessings. It's always directed toward others, it's directed toward us to reach them, to serve them, to love them, to heal them, to proclaim, to forgive, and to represent Christ beyond ourselves. If you didn't get anything else out of this tonight, remember this your call is not just for you. Your call is not just for you, but it's for that person that sits beside you every day. Your call is to do what the scripture says and to go. It's to tell them about the love of Jesus. It's to be his hands and feet, it's to do what he's called you to do in his in your way in your mother's womb. I don't know what your call is tonight. I don't know what God's calling you to do. But you know, God knows.
SPEAKER_05:Turn aside, seek, and find out what God does.
SPEAKER_06:Moses' story shows us that the call begins in obscurity, but leads to destiny. Your call, just like Moses, it begins in obscurity. It begins just being a ritual, just an ordinary person. But guess what? It leads to your destiny. God is still calling people named.
SPEAKER_08:Amen.
SPEAKER_06:Not just prophets or pastors, but he's calling teachers, brothers, students, cars, workers.
SPEAKER_05:Everyone has a burning bush for you to do in. If you're just willing to turn aside, if you're just willing to turn aside, God's got a call for you. Exodus chapter one wasn't just a list of names. It was a list of calls. Not just a list of names, but a list of calls. And today, your name. Everybody say my name. My name is on his lips. Amen. Father in heaven, I honor and I glorify you. God, I speak to those that's listening on the sound of my voice tonight.
SPEAKER_06:God, their name is on your lips. You're calling them. Father, you're calling them to a higher place in humanity. Father Lord, you spoke to them that you know what you want to do. Maybe, God, they're spirit. Maybe they don't know how to go about what you call them. But God, I want to encourage them to find you. I want to encourage them to get in the world. Father, and just turn aside. Make a step towards you. Father Lord, you said if we take the first step, you can go the rest of the never leave us or forsake us.
SPEAKER_05:But God, first, we've got to make a response. God, first, we've got to surrender it to you. We've got to surrender ourselves to you.
SPEAKER_06:God, that you can work out the mission that you can place in our lives. God, I just humbly come before your phone. God, I pray the blessings upon blessings upon each and every one of us with the still of my voice. God, if there's one out there tonight that's not and say, God, I pray that the power of your spirit, Father, draw it. God, they're all right. Father, that one person that may be losing, father that may be thinking about taking their own life right now. I speak to that person. Yes. I speak to that spirit. That devil, they're trying to defeat them. I speak to them right now in the name of Jesus. I said, Devil, get away. Jesus.
SPEAKER_05:God, I'm giving me a big. Father, everything that has to heal and to feed your children.
SPEAKER_06:God against you in the name of Jesus. By the blood that we shall count for every healing of our body, every disease. I pray in the name of Jesus. Father Lord, you're sick. I'm glad you just praise you and honor you.
SPEAKER_04:Amen. I hope you have enjoyed that. I know God really moved in that service the other night, and I just felt his presence so much, and I just felt that message so dear to my heart. Like I said earlier, I don't think we really know how important we are to the kingdom. Once we can grasp a hold of that and grasp out what the word said and know that we are called. We are called by God. Amen. He will do what he said he would do. He speaks our name. He's made us who we are. We just need to be walking back up, calling the ads for us. Amen. I hope you enjoyed it, and until next time, if you join me again right here at the Christian Cafe, where all things are fresh and God made. We love you and have a wonderful day.
SPEAKER_00:Join us next time, right here on the Christian Cafe, and see what God is serving up fresh for you.
